Automotive General Sales Manager needed for growing new car dealership in Berkshire County, MA. With a strong General Manager already in place, and a supportive Dealer Principal committed to growth, this is an opportunity to step into a store with real upside. This role requires a hands-on Sales Manager who is proactive, engaged, and leads from the front. This person will be responsible to work the desk, hold gross, motivate the sales team, and ensure cars are getting sold. This store is part of a reputable dealer group and they are looking for a GSM who can help get this store to hit its true potential and grow with them into the future.

This is a great opportunity for a Sales Manager ready for their next step into the GSM seat, or an F&I Manager with desking experience that is looking to make a transition out of the box.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take an active, lead-from-the-front approach to driving sales and profitability.
  • Work the desk, structure deals, and be directly involved in closing and TOs to maximize every opportunity.
  • Drive consistent, month-over-month growth by improving sales strategies, lead management, and customer retention efforts.
  • Implement and refine processes to enhance efficiency, profitability, and long-term stability.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager on inventory management, marketing strategies, and financial performance.
  • Develop, mentor, and coach the management team, ensuring a high-performance culture.
  • Maintain a strong presence on the showroom floor, actively engaging with customers and staff to push results.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a General Sales Manager, Sales Manager, or F&I Manager with desking experience in a new car dealership setting.
  • Hands-on leadership style with a relentless drive to grow variable operations.
  • Strong desking and deal-structuring skills, with a track record of closing deals and maximizing gross.
  • Ability to push performance while maintaining stability and process consistency.
  • Strategic thinker with an analytical mindset, focused on long-term growth and profitability.

Compensation:

  • Compensation package will be in the $110,000 – $120,000 range based on experience and performance.
  • Benefits package provided
  • 401(K)
