Automotive Service Director needed for high volume new-car dealership in Worcester County, MA. This is an opportunity to get in with a busy, turn-key, Service Department that has further room for growth. It is important that the person hired is a great communicator and a natural leader. Likewise, it is important that the Service Manager hired holds their staff accountable and motivated on a daily basis. This position reports directly to the General Manager. This is a great opportunity for a strong Service Manager who can lead the charge and keep their team striving for further success. Must be organized, process-driven, and able to manage a high volume department.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the service department
- Create and implement processes to increase efficiency, customer satisfaction, and profitability in the service department.
- Set a clear vision for the Service Department to achieve targeted performance goals.
- Hold daily and weekly meetings for the department, as well as 1:1s with individual team members.
- Ensure the department has good CSI through building and maintaining relationships with customers and ensuring that they receive high-quality service.
- Oversee the Service Advisors and ensure that ROs are written up and closed out in a timely manner.
- Manage and supervise the service technicians, ensuring that all work is performed to the highest standards and within established timelines.
- Provide training to service technicians to help them improve their skills and knowledge.
- Recruit, interview and train service staff; handle performance reviews
- Create an exceptional customer experience to drive customer loyalty
- Develop and manage budgets and operating plans for the service department, monitoring performance and making adjustments as needed.
- Maintain a high level of knowledge about the latest automotive technologies and stay current on industry trends.
- Collaborate with other departments within the dealership to ensure seamless and efficient operations.
- Ensure the Service area is customer-customer ready with proper displays and information
- Other duties as required
Compensation:
- Compensation range will be in the $175,000 – $210,000++ range based on experience and performance.
