Busy domestic dealership in Brooklyn, NY is seeking an experienced, hands-on Automotive Parts Manager to take full ownership of a busy retail parts department. This role is ideal for an experienced dealership Parts Manager who takes pride in running a structured department, enjoys fixing inefficiencies, and stays involved in the day-to-day operation. It’s a great opportunity for a Parts Manager who wants the autonomy to make real improvements and see the results.

This is a high-impact leadership role for a Parts Manager who thrives in structure, accountability, and operational excellence. The department is active and producing, but needs a strong operator to clean up, tighten processes, reduce obsolescence, and bring organization and discipline to daily operations. The Parts Manager hired will have full support from the Dealer Principal, along with the autonomy to implement change, streamline workflows, and build a more efficient, well-run parts operation.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and actively manage day-to-day parts department operations
  • Establish and maintain organization, structure, and accountability
  • Reduce and manage parts obsolescence and inventory inefficiencies
  • Ensure the department is clean, accurate, and tightly run
  • Work closely with Service to support a high-volume shop
  • Monitor and drive key performance metrics (turns, fill rate, gross, obsolescence)
  • Implement process improvements and operational controls
  • Maintain proper inventory levels, stocking, and cycle counts
  • Ensure nothing falls through the cracks in a fast-paced environment

What We’re Looking For

  • Automotive Parts Manager experience in a dealership environment
  • Domestic brand experience preferred (open to strong candidates from other brands)
  • Proven ability to clean up and improve underperforming departments
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and process-driven
  • Hands-on leadership style — not a desk-only manager
  • Strong understanding of parts inventory management and controls
  • Ability to work closely with Service and drive collaboration
  • Metrics-driven mindset with a focus on accountability and results
