Automotive Controller / Dealership Office Manager – Duluth, MN
A growing, family-owned automotive dealership group in Duluth, MN is hiring an Automotive Controller or an experienced Dealership Office Manager ready to step into a Controller role. This is a strong opportunity for someone with automotive accounting experience looking to advance within a stable, well-supported organization.
The dealership currently sells over 100 vehicles per month and the dealer is in the works to build a brand new, state-of-the-art, facility which should increase volume to 200+ units per month. The dealership operates with clean financials, strong processes, and an established team, offering long-term stability and a positive work environment focused on work-life balance.
This dealership Controller hired will oversee a 3–4 person accounting office and report directly to a long-term Corporate Controller. The dealership group also provides support from centralized payroll, HR, and fixed operations specialists when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of automotive dealership accounting operations
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements
- Oversee general ledger, reconciliations, and month-end close
- Maintain accurate financial reporting and internal controls
- Lead and develop accounting office staff
Requirements:
- Automotive dealership accounting experience required
- Current Controller OR Office Manager with financial statement experience
- Experience with Reynolds and Reynolds (DMS)
- Strong leadership and communication skills
Compensation:
- Compensation package in the $100,000 – $120,000 range based on experience
- Demo vehicle will be provided
