Accountant – Public Accounting Firm
Location: Bergen County, NJ
Compensation: $80,000–$90,000
A well-established public accounting firm with a strong focus in the automotive industry is looking for an experienced Accountant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone coming from a large public accounting firm who wants to transition into a smaller, more agile environment where they have a voice and are truly part of a team.
The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of public accounting experience and is eager to work directly with the Managing Partner while supporting more than 200 dealership clients across tax, audit, benchmarking, consulting, and more.
What You’ll Do:
- Support tax, audit, and consulting projects for automotive dealership clients
- Work closely with the Managing Partner on deliverables and client strategy
- Assist in benchmarking and financial analysis
- Contribute to improving processes and client service within a smaller, highly specialized firm
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 5 years of public accounting experience
- Strong technical accounting and analytical skills
- Automotive experience a plus, but not required
- Someone motivated, detail-oriented, and ready to grow within a tight-knit team
